J.W. MALOY BOSTON 1879 PATENT MODEL FOR MOLDING, SURFACING & POLISHING STONE

Description

A few scrapes, but still in excellent condition and very well made with hardwood and cast brass parts.  The crank handle operates fine and turns the gears below that turn the polishing brush mounted on the side.  About 10” by 4” by 5 1/2” tall.  Includes the original patent office tags for two patents issued on the same day that are both covered by the machine.   The patent was assigned to American Marble Co. Boston, Mass.  There is a small brass washer shown in the pictures that is included, but I’m not sure it is part of the model.
