This is an Old Black & White Promotional Photo from the factory in Waterville Maine
of the Lombard CS-88 Tractor Truck
that was built by Alvin Lombard.
The photo measures 9 7/8" wide by 7 3/4" high.
Photo is in very good condition. Clean. No cracking.

1927 Lombard Tractor Truck with 15-ton capacity 6 cubic yard Dump Body. 97hp. Engine.
The CS-88 was Lombard's attempt to broaden his market and make in-roads into the construction industry.
The model CS-88 was a brute. Empty it tipped the scales at 23,850 lbs. and was rated at 15 tons.
Though the dump body only had a six yard capacity. The overall length was 23'-9"
For power Lombard used a 4 cylinder Climax Engineering R4U (6"x7") rated at 97 hp at 1200 rpm.
Exactly how many CS-88's  were built is not known though the surviving records show 9 being delivered.
